We have expanded recycling, which is gentle to the environment.
Aitec has applied a recycling system to our company toothbrush sets. This system is called thermal recycling, and entails collecting used toothbrush sets and recycling them as pellets for thermal resources.
We hope everyone can cooperate with our toothbrush recycling program.
Also, in order to decrease the amount of waste plastic from the factory, we introduced recycled resin.
We use Zeolex which keeps the amount of dioxin low.
We are often asked "Does burning toothbrushes cause dioxin?" To this question, we answer "Yes, and No!". You many think it a little strange to hear this. Dioxin will not occur if our toothbrushes are burned at the public garbage disposal center authorized by the government.
However, dioxin will occur nonetheless, because toothbrushes are burned with other trash. Therefore, we introduced Zeolex a packaging material that reduces the amount of dioxin released from burning trash.
Zeolex is the packaging material developed by Fukusuke Kogyo Corporation. When this material is burned, it will absorb dioxin and reduce the total amount. We use zeolex packaging material for amenities in guest rooms.
There is no extra cost for using this material. It might be good to print information about zeolex on the back of packages and make an appeal to guests to cooperate with our recycling program.
